Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t have a LearnPro account?
You can create a LearnPro account by visiting this link.
I already have a LearnPro account in another Health Board. Do I need to do the training again?
When you are logged in to LearnPro you should be able to visit the User Profile page, which shows you your Location. If your location starts NHS Scotland > NHS Lanarkshire, then we can see your training. If that Location shows another Health Board then we cannot see your training, so we will need you to either:
- change Location to Lanarkshire
- create a new LearnPro account for Lanarkshire and do the training again
Why have I been asked to link TURAS Learn?
Linking your LearnPro and Turas accounts will help ensure your training is reported accurately. Log in to LearnPro then visit the User Profile page and look for instructions in the LearnPro / Turas Sync section.
Appraisal
NHS Lanarkshire recognises the importance of all staff having an annual Personal Development Planning & Review meeting to ensure appropriate support is available to staff, and that all employees have access to learning & development opportunities throughout their careers.
Turas Appraisal is the national electronic platform for recording summaries of annual personal development planning, objectives and review (PDPR) discussions for staff covered by Agneda for Change terms and conditions.
Turas is already being used by some staff for other purposes such as Learn and Portfolio. These applications are not supported by the NHS Lanarkshire Turas Appraisal helpdesk; any requests for support should be directed to NES at support.web@nes.scot.nhs.uk
NHS Lanarkshire’s policy is ALL staff should have an appraisal/review meeting with their manager at least once a year, a summary of which must be recorded on the Turas Appraisal system.
Click here to access the online Turas Appraisal platform.
A TURAS email helpdesk is available; all enquiries relating to Turas Appraisal should be raised via turasappraisal@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk
We need you to create an account on LearnPro, and complete the required training either on LearnPro or on Turas Learn
You also need to Sync your account with Turas, by visiting the LearnPro Edit User Profile page.
