Bank Staff SMS Data Breach – Resolved 19/09/24

Update:
Following the communication issued on 27/08/2024 regarding a data breach affecting the provider of our SMS text messaging service, we can confirm investigations have been concluded. We have been advised that no NHS Scotland data was compromised in the breach and there is no risk to your mobile number.

We have been made aware today, 27/08/2024, by RLDatix of a security incident which involves the text messages sent to Bank Staff. 

Communications has been issued to all users who are at risk of being exposed.

We have been advised that there is a risk that your mobile number may be published online. No other personal information associated with your mobile phone number has been affected. Please be vigilant around any unsolicited text messages regarding your NHS employment.

Investigations are continuing and we will provide further information as appropriate.
