We have a recruitment FastTrack for our existing staff, people already employed on the Staff Bank, and Students who are studying an appropriate Health-related course to join our Staff Bank.

Our Internal Fast Track is available for substantive employees and Staff Bank Workers.

You need to be applying for a job in the same job family and area (e.g. Nursing in Acute or Community), and the same or lower pay band as your substantive role.

If you want to apply for a different type of role then you should keep an eye out on jobs.scot.nhs.uk to look for advertised posts on our Staff Bank. You can even set alerts for the type of role you’re looking for!

The process for recruiting to NHSL Staff Bank follows the same robust recruitment and selection processes as required for substantive posts which adheres to NHS Scotland Partnership Information Network (PIN) Guidelines.

Successful interviewees are progressed subject to the following checking standards:
- Occupational Health Clearance,
- Criminal record checks and membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme,
- Employment history and 2 satisfactory reference checks,
- Verification of identity checks and right to work in UK checks.

Please note that applications will be processed in line with a Planned Programme, this means your application could be held on file for up to three months and you could be contacted within those three months if you have been selected for interview.
